Baby boomers all over the U.S. will be downsizing their lives over the next ten years or so. How does a single or a couple downsize their home, possessions and life? It's not only a physical but emotional challenge as well.
As I work on downsizing, I thought I could sell a lot of my things on ebay and put a little cash in my pocket, too.
Coming to the realization that I have one third of my life ahead of me and what the heck am I going to do with it?
I love my home in the country where I have lived for the last 35 years.
But the realities of my life is I can't afford to live here much longer, physically and financially(unless I win the lottery.) I'm giving myself 18 months to downsize most all of my possessions( I hope it to be part of the process.)Cause it will be a tough act to follow.
I work as a gift buyer and floral designer.
Surprise!! Remember those dead looking geraniums from earlier this year? Viola! They are now growing healthy and blooming beautifully.I like this variety of geraniums.I will plant this one and the other geraniums in pots and bring them inside before the first frost in September. Next time I will talk about the wonderful healthy veggies that I am growing.
Spring came early this year to the Midwest. I was very fortunate to be able to visit the Morton Arboretum in late April on a beautiful weekday. The flowering dogwoods were spectacular, as were the redbud trees that were reflected in Lake Marmo. The fragrance garden is indescribable, with lily of the valley and stock among other fragrant bloomers, you must experience the scents and colors for yourself! It is a wonderful way to spend a day!
